Dancing disco ball
Please download the game if possible ! The web build contains a few technical issues (such as the music being off-beat) and is only there for those who have no other options ! (mac users for example)
In this short turn-based rhythm game, you play as Adagio, a dancer filled with passion for his art. Perform dance contests against various opponents and defeat them with the power of music !
CONTROLS
- During dialogs, use the space bar to get to the next line.
- Use the mouse to choose an attack
- Use the arrows to get a music note
This game was made in around four days for the Bigmode game jam 2026 (I was quite busy this week). I would have liked to polish it a bit more, as the game's really rough around the edges, but I managed to include everything I wanted to, so I'm happy with the end result. I definitively underestimated the technical challenge of making a rhythm game though. Despite all of efforts, there’s still a few instances of the music and gameplay losing synchronization after a freeze-frame, and it’s really painful to see. I also got the opportunity to train my (poor) writing skills, so that’s nice. I feel that the games I make start looking like the games I want to make, and that’s quite encouraging. I hope people will like this one (and I hope they'll download the game instead of playing the web version, though I hardly believe it). I sure loved making it at least.
